Thanks Dave. I thought as much. Radio ***** are same style. Does your lighter **** screw off ? I have found some Ford ***** are not detachable. Do you happen to have a spare? Ken

I haven't gone out and checked if it screws off or not. First day all week with no rain and finally above 70 degs - that means mowing the big yard and painting fence. Did a quick look at Dearborn Classics and they have nothing, even for the '67'' Fairlanes. Sounds like going to be a fun search maybe.

The lighter **** was only sold with the element, was not available by itself.

Only the element was available by itself. To remove the element from the ****, hold the element with one hand, unscrew the **** with the other.

Wasn't the 66 Rancheros the same as the 65-66' F-100s ? Black ***** with chrome trims with the word 'lighter'. on it. The ***** do unscrew pretty easy, at least the ones I have do. The element usually burn out. Most were actually used. Go figure.

1961/66 F100/1100 lighter ****/element: C1TZ-15052-A.

1964/65 Falcon lighter ****/element: C4DZ-15052-A.

1966 Falcon lighter ****/element: C6DZ-15052-A.

1961/66 F100/1100 lighter element: C1TZ-15054-A.

1964/66 Falcon & 1965/66 Mustang lighter element: C4DZ-15054-A.

So, not only are the ***** different but so are the elements. The trucks have a white insert in the ****, the Falcon **** insert is chrome. The Mustang **** is all chrome.

Me thinks your memory is on the "fritz!"
