This weekend is the Divisional rallycross championship, also held at TRP. I'm entered for this event, and hope to enter the National event in Oct.

This weekend was the big event. If any of you guys from Owasso or Collinsville wondered where the haze was coming from saturday and sunday, here's your answer:
That's me having the time of my life tearing up (literally) the parking lot of the soon to be closed TRP. Yes, that's an RX7. It's not the one listed in my sig, but it is mine. I got more toys than the forum will allow me to list..... 13B + 600 CFM carb + rally tires = more fun than the law should allow.
The preparation and planning for running this event is a major reason I have been MIA around this forum for a while.
I didn't win, but I did manage to finish the entire event with only a couple minor mechanical issues along the way, such as broken exhaust hangers and a coil wire that broke off, twice. Fortunately, the coil wire that broke was the least important, as it just caused the tach to read wacky. The other 2 coils do most of the work.
The event was the largest ever turnout (100 total competitors, 23 in my class) for the SCCA RallyCross Nationals in it's first ever Oklahoma location. Had TRP not announced that it will close by the end of the month, I'm sure it would have been a lock on keeping it here. We're already working on finding another site in NE Ok, so there's still a chance of retaining the event for a few years.
This event also happened to coincide with my birthday (sunday) so I can honestly say I've never had a bigger b-day bash, and it's one I will always remember.
BTW, my 80 F150 saw plenty of use in the pit area jumping off cars that wouldn't start. Especially the cars in the modified classes, where I ran.

It was a lot of fun. Recommended viewing location was the asphalt parking lot (upwind).
Dan would not have been too happy with the rutted gravel normally, but something tells me he just didn't care this time around.......

Is it significant that an ad for a chiropractor came up at the bottom just as one guy was going airborne?
Looks like lots fun!

I had a camera mounted on my car during most of the runs. Soon as I get the footage from the camera owner, I'll edit together my own video (without crappy music) and post a link here.
Oddly enough, my birthday also happened to roll around on the final day of this event. Biggest b-day bash I've ever had.

Oh yeah, you have the ad blocker. Forgot. But, I thought it quite a coincident.
And, agree about the music. Suspect that "music" will be muted and something else w/b playing in the shop today. Come and see.

Might be up for a short trip. All the dust last weekend caused me to suffer a flairup of broncitis, but I think I've gotten over the worse of it.
Will have to drive the B2300, if I can make it. Trailer still hooked to the F150, with the car loaded on it, and I can't get the hood open to pull the battery out for the RX7 or F100 due to a tire rack on the trailer. F100 also has a flat.
I haven't spent any time dealing with the pretty stuff lately, unless it directly impacted my ability to participate in this event......
