I have a stock 2005 4x4 excursion. Im currently running 285 75 r16 BFG A/T. I need new tires, looking to replace them with 315 75 r16 with a 16x8 wheel. I dont want to do anything to the suspension, just fill out the wheel well. Can it be done? Also what wheel spacing do I need on the 16x8 wheel. Thanks for the inputs.

 

I'm sure it can be done, but without modification I don't see how. 34.5 seems like a bit too much tire without a lift. I'm sure others will chime...but I think you either need to lift or cut. :-)

 

I have the same with a 2.5'' level kit up front (amounts to a shortened stack of leaves). Still the 315's rub on the leaf springs at full tilt. No overly annoying, but I'm not fussy. You'll need to pull back the plastic inner fenders with some wire to make 1/2 clearance. No big deal.
I'm sure someone here is running 315 without the leveling kit and will chime in. No issues in the rear.

It's a stock wheel. 16'' x 7''. 8 x 170mm hole pattern. Stock offset.
