Need more info on the truck, mileage, condition, history if known?

If the fuel system has over 100k on it, it's do for a tune up, injectors, and Injector Pump, timed, and she'll feel like a completely new truck!

do you have a boost gauge? Did this just start or always like this? Pyro installed? was the fuel ever turned up? Check air filter, and exhaust system. Might be a simple boost leak.

yep has boost gauge that never goes above 3, I bought it with 56095 actual mile on it 2yrs ago and the only thing thats gotten better is when I cleaned and recharged K&N air filter. Pyro runs between 300 and 800 not sure if turned up or not, it never smokes even with a heavy load

what year is the truck? if its pre 92 then more then likely its 176000 or more. they roll over back to 0 after 99,999. do you know if the injectors or injection pump have ever been changed? might be time to invest in them. they start to get tired at 100k

the turbo will only make boost when the engine is working.
so if it is driven like granny going to church, it will not make any boost.

drive it like ya just stole it and have a pack of troopers chasing you with 4 miles left to the mexican border. you should se a large increase in boost.

doubt that. I am sure he is trying to make boost. If the fuel hasnt been turned up it wont do as good of a job in the boost dept. More fuel is more heat which is boost. You have to be careful but that is what a good pyro is for. I would be a few bucks he is loosing boost somewhere or the turbo is shot. more likely that the seal is shot but hard to tell. Any way we can get some good pics of this thing???

Check the fuel lift pump, i know my truck really woke up after it was replaced.

My truck was a farm truck also, one of the injector lines was replaced by the owner it was about a foot longer than the rest of the injector lines it was homemade and it threw my timing out of whack on the cylinder because it was longer than the rest (that is what the mechanic told me )
but i gained alot of power through replacing that , so look for that looks rigged and listen and anwser the guys above ^^^^ .

Get some pics of it.
