We assume they first lost the gas can nozzle then went fishing with the meat fork. Anyone else find odd things in fuel tanks?

Just rust! Lots and lots of rust! It took me nearly three weeks to get it all out and treat the tank...

Funny, I had a gas can nozzle in mine too. No fork though!

My 53 tank currently has a mouse nest in it. I'm still thinking of how to clean it all out, short of taking it back to the radiator shop for another bath.

Stoopid rodents.

OT: on another note, our M35A2 Deuce has a mix of used cooking oil, transmission fluid, used motor oil, old gasoline, and some diesel.
Gotta love a muilti-fuel.

A 16d common nail and a 10d common nail.

The meat fork has to win for odd finds!

Mine had been treated before years ago and had rusted again. I used electrolisis to get it clean (no radiator shops in the area) and then treated it with Bill Hirsh's etcher and sealer. It's very clean inside now...
