1978 f150...$500 (not an AD)

hey guys, i found a 78 f150 longbed. 2wd.c6 with a 351m. Needs floorpans but the cab corners arent shot. My question is would you pay $500 for it ? Im going to try to upload a picture. Will need some steering issues fixed just sloppy like most older trucks. It runs and drives. Has new starter and all new brakes.(lines, master cylinder, everything except new proportioning valve)

If the bed was good it would be worth $500 right there.

All depends on wat you want it for. I just bought a 2wd f150 for $500 a month ago for parts. It ran, had a decent body, and not a real good bed. I ended up parting it out for over $750 so far, which means I got all of the parts I needed for free and more! I still have some of the truck left as well. A buddy and I may be purchasing another one for $500 very soon here.
As '650' said if it has a good bed don't think twice...buy it.

Keep this in mind...............It's probably worth around $300 as scrap right now, doesnt take long to start making money on a $500 truck if you are at all creative.........

yeah thanks everyone. it has a utility bed on it now so that has to be worth something in scrap. its not what i want (a f250 4x4) but i miss having an older truck to tinker around with.
