I believe its possible to setup the scangauge to get EGT numbers with an extra sensor, but there are far more important things for that gauge to monitor while your running.
Get a separate EGT gage. That's my opinion.
I forgot about that option of a extra sensor. But, your right, EGT should by all means be a separate gauge. When I'm pulling a mountain grade with the 5er I stare a hole in mine, LOL!!
I got pulled over for going 70 in a 55 in northern Cali on I-5 going up the Siskyou mountains because I was watching my EGT's instead of the speedo. Just kicked it out of OD and kept my foot in it...
That was with 2k in the bed and a chevy cobalt on the trailer behind.
You can do two at a time up to eight at a time. I have mine set to display four, first screen will show oil temp & trans temp and the second screen will show duty cycle and ICP pressure. There is about a 1 to 2 second delay between screens, which is adjustable.
Falcon, 55mph pulling a trailer in CA sucks, they are hurting themselves financially.
Full boost trying to keep the temps down????? I'm not going to buy that but maybe the cop did, HAHAHAHAHAHA I'll have to try that approach next time I get pulled over. Its pretty funny though, I've been seen speeding with my 5er and never get pulled over!! The cop must be seeing my tiny truck couldn't possibly be pulling that monster that fast, LOL!
Scangauge is good also, I got one and have it set up to scan several things at once. It doesn't do EGT's though, that one is #1 to have. Did I say that EGT's is the number one gauge to have??
A little late to chime in, but I think it's important to point out that an EGT gauge is probably the most important to have.
