true dual exhaust kits?

Have to do it yourself or get a shop to do it. Honestly I see no reason to go true duals and you noticing any kind of performance difference is slim to none especially on a 2V NPI that doesn't breath well in upper rpms anyway. If you want a dual look get a single 3" in dual out muffler and split the tailpipes there. Both pipes on the true dual exhaust would have to be routed down the same side of the truck do to the gas tank being in the way on the passenger side. This will create uneven pipe lengths and barely enough room to mount an d4ecent X pipe in the right location. I have true duals on my 74' F-100 but there is nothing that gets in the way front to rear like the SDs.

dont do the duals it will kill the bottom end of your truck! i have gibson headers into the ebay ypipe and then a high flow cat which isnt any better thasn the factory cat ill add into a cherry bomb type muffler into 2.5 duals and my bottom end was horrible. i recently added a borla 3" single exit exhaust and my bottom end is like a bull now. it actually moves the truck before 3000rpm, and my towing is like a night and day difference. keep the single three inch and just get a "good" free flowing muffler or straight pipe and be done

and dont get a flow*hitter exhaust, they suck. some of them actually flow worse than stock mufflers. plus my cousin had one of them super44 installed about two years ago on his chevy and it rotted and craked all over. i welded in a cherry bomb glass pack into his truck sunday night and its ****ing mean sounding

haha well good to know. sadly i have a flowmaster exhaust now and the entire exhaust frrom the exhaust manifolds to the tail pipes are rusted to hell. i was thinkin of gettin some headers mabey in the new few weeks or so, how do you like yours? are they long or shorts? and did you notice any extra power?
