P6011 FICM

Guys I need some of your expertise. I have a stock (muffler delete only) 2004 F250 6.0 w/ 128K miles that intermittently runs rough, lacks power and hard start. I'm in central Texas and the outside temps are 77- 103 degrees F. I'm not an expert mechanic, but I'm smart enough I can usually figure things out. So today I used my Bully Dog programmer and pulled a P6011 code. In the tech folder I found the FICM Voltage check.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
I tested my 4 screw FICM and it registered: <o></o>
47.6 vdc with the key on (Greater than 45 VDC)<o></o>
43.8 - 44.4 vdc w/ engine running<o></o>
I'm concerned because it tests good and I'm still getting the P6011. Should I re-flow the solder and clean the connectors with those readings or is my FICM toast? <o></o>
I searched the forum and have not really found a post where a P6011 that had good voltage readings.<o></o>
Any help would be appreciated.<o></o>
Thanks, Stan<o></o>

43.8 is to low really. Anything under 45 is considered bad when running...

I just did mine today. Had around 30v idling. I now have 49...

P0611 also indicates a FICM memory fault. That coupled with the voltage issue and I would consider it toast.

I did the solder myself. I didn't have anything obvious looking, but reflowed it all and it worked great!

I would really like to thank everyone for thier input on my P0611 issue.
I left work early today, bought some flux did the FICM repair w/ my 35V Weller.

48.0 VDC w/ key on
47.8 VDC w/ engine idle

I took the truck for a good 30 min drive and returned with no codes. The information provided by the users on this forum is priceless. Thanks again for all your help.

Blade - Thanks for the heads up on the BD programmer (more great info).

glad you got it fixed

I know it sucks my buddy blew his with a BD programmer
and I notice that when a tranny problem comes up probably half if not more the people were using a bulley dog programmer

most on here use a SCT programmer seams to agree with the tranny

maybe you can sell it that what my friend did
