any ideas and or tips would be appreciated. Its a 1999 4.6 and new breaks and rotors all around. thanks

I was in reverse backing out of my driveway , there was a bang (thought i hit something) and it would not back up without a lot of gas. It would go in drive just fine and role without gas but when i put it back in reverse the same thing happened.

 

The simple solution is that one of the rear parking brake shoes likely broke off it's mount. I would start by pulling the rear rotors and doing an inspection of both parking brake assemblies. The second possibility is a problem within the rear axle, which is much more expensive to repair.
