I would like some recomendations for a nice sounding, good quality aftercat exhaust system for my '05 F150.

use you tube and the search feature and you will find what you are asking because a good sounding exhaust is an opinion so you will most likely not get a single answer from a forum.
also its called a catback to help your search

i picked up the saleen dual rear exit exhaust and really like it. the tips hide under the rear bumper so it doesn't have the big goofy chrome tips hanging out the back.
looking back i should have just kept the stock harley exhaust on there since it sounded pretty good too but i wanted to try something different.

thats the same one i have but the tips rust bad so i put SS 3in ends on mine. Edelbrock makes the exhaust, its the SDT line of mufflers.

Hard to beat the quality of a Magnaflow system.

I run the magnaflow magnapack system in my cobra. Fit finish and sound are amazing but i went w the Saleen/edelbrock system because it was under $200. I couldn't justify a $600 kit on the truck.

I've got a gibson on mine, if you want some sound go elsewhere. It's barely louder than stock, in the cab you can't even tell a difference. Outside it's just a little throatier, barely noticeable. I'm gonnna replace the muffler, the stainless steel 3" is pretty nice.

i had an mbrp on my colorado. about 3 or so months into it the inside of the muffler started rattling. I pulled it off and confirmed it was separating. they pretty much told me tough **** so I put it back on and just lived w/ the rattle that could be hear 10 feet away at idle and take every chance i can to let people know about it. it was horribly packaged and showed up directly from them scratched up and dinged w/o any external damage to the box, 100% sure it was put in the box that way.
