Adding Limited Slip to 2011 Super Duty?

Any one know if somebody's making a Limited Slip differential for the new Super Duty's? I've been looking at a new 2011 Ford F-250 4X4 and i like everything about the truck but they put regular (non locking) axles under it. I looked around a little bit but i cant find anyone who lists anything newer than the 2009-10...

If you're looking at a new one on a dealers lot, I'd just order one equipped how I wanted it. You can get a factory electronic rear locker which would be better than a limited slip anyway. That said, AFIK the rear axle is still a 10.5" sterling, so I would think any of the aftermarket ones for older trucks should still work. Hopefully somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

As far as I know the rear axles have not been changed on the F-250 and F-350 for 2011. The place that sells the diffs like Randy's Ring and Pinion or Bronco Graveyard could help you out. I'd be looking at a Detroit Truetrac if I were you. Much better than the stock LS unit.

Cool thanks for the info guys! I would prefer to run a truetrac if i choose this route... This Truck is a leftover on the lot a their really willing to deal but it doesn't have locking axles which sinks, so trying to figure would it would cost to at least change the diff. in the rear end...

Pretty sure the locking diff that came with the trucks only locks in 4wd and when doing 20mph or under. Better off with the truetrac or aftermarket locker IMO. I like to have something that works all the time and when needed.

Haggle for them to put a TruTrac in it. Or, at the very least, install it. I love my TruTrac, BTW.

ok i talked to the dealership and a local guy who is mostly known for doing rear end work... I guess they changed the splines in the axles shafts on the 2011 and newer trucks. My only option is getting something through Ford, but it can be done. The dealership is gonna look into adding LS in the rear end and get back to me.
