1996 F-250 E4OD

Last week I over heated my tranny and it started leaking out the front seal. It doesnt leak anymore though. The problem is is that the reverse was going out prior to and is even more hesitant than before. Shifting is a little sluggish after all I use it to plow snow in the winter time. after looking what prices are to rebuild I have found a used one for 450 with only 80,000 miles on it. Question is do I try and hope it lasts or bite the bullet and get this one. This is the only one I have found within 250 miles! And If I did would it be worth it to put in a shift kit right away. Its for a plow truck so any help on what kind of shift kit would be great

I say that if you're going to drop the transmission, put a good one in. These transmissions are big and heavy. You don't wanna have to turn around and redo this next year.
