Tonneau Cover Opinions

I am looking for a tonneau cover for my new 2011 F150 Lariat. I have looked at a few and wanted some opinions on the Trifecta from extang and also what others have used and liked.

Similar to Charlie's Extang is my TruXport from Truxedo. It was just about $300 and lacks the auto tension adjustment of other higher priced models. It keeps out 99% of rain water, and with a tailgate seal I get no dust intrusion.

I have the Ford OEM tonneau cover which is just a Truzport with a nice big Ford logo on it. I believe it was $350 installed at the dealership.

I'll toss in a recommendation for a Truxedo Low Pro QT. I installed one on my 07 and while they say it doesn't fit, I moved it onto my 11. It's holding up great and I learned years ago.

Best of luck with your decision. Too many good covers to select from.

I have the Ford accessory soft cover, with the ford emblem, on my 11. I wish I had a Truxedo Low Pro QT. They are twice the coverand they are very easy to install. But the Ford one will do for a couple years then I'll upgrade.

I have the Access Literider cover (from Agricover i think). I really like the quality of the cover and the mechanisms, but i do wish i would have gotten a low profile one. I like to sit on the bed rails while i put on my dirt bike gear and now i have to sit on part of the cover frame while i put on my boots.
Besides that, the cover is great. It has tension adjusters and i went through a huge storm last weekend and it was dry as a bone in the bed.

I ordered a Ranch Legacy last week. It's a lot like the Leer/Ford cover which is a hard fiberglass painted to match. The price from autoanything.com was $870 shipped to my door. Almost half what the dealer wanted. Will post some pictures when I get it. It's being painted this week and should ship by Friday from the midwest. Interested to see how is works out. I really liked the frame and lift system on the Leer, it stayed in place and was easy to take on and off. The ranch is very similar. Previous snug tops that I had were always shifting around because of the separate frame and gas shock positions.

I"ve got an access vanish and am very happy. it's low profile, so it clamps to the inside of the bed rail and only sticks up 1/8" to 1/4" max above the bed rails. The only issue i had with it is i had to get a roll of gasket from the autoparts store to put at the cab end of the bed to seal it.

i have the truxedo low pro qt also. i have had similar brands as well and they pretty much all seem the same. I would say that only one perso is making them or they all just copy from one another.

I purchased a soft tonneau cover from Tonneau-Pro. Price was good and it works for what I need it to do, which is cover my drums when going to a gig.

As much as I would like to have a hard cover painted to match the truck, this one works great for me.

I also have a tonneau-pro. It serves the purpose well. Maybe not the best fitting cover, but it survived a northern Michigan winter (snow rooftop high) and never balked. With the rains we've had recently, everything stays dry in the bed. On a recent trip to the UP, no dust either. Overall, except for the fact that it's a straight sided top on a curved bed (it fits slightly larger at the back than the front) it's well worth the money. And, when folded and locked open, I can access the fifth wheel hitch without removing the top.

I have the Extang Tri-Fold in canvas and so far I am very happy with it. The one thing that I have found with soft top covers is they do do stretch very well in cold weather and and I am hoping that the tri-fold will solve that problem.
