Have located a 2003 Eddie Bauer with around 150,000 miles; they want around 16,900; is this good?

 

I did a search on Autotrader for 200 miles around metro Atlanta and there is only 1 7.3L 2wd listed. It has 174k miles with a reman engine with warranty. Asking $18.5k. Several 6.8L V10's with low miles.

The amount of miles is a little over the universally accepted average of 15000 miles per year. Going by that alone, I would haggle the price down as low as possible...I think there's some money to be saved with this Excursion.

Compare the prices of other similar Excursions so you can have an idea of what you have to work with.

There's a 4x4 near me with 90k for $20k. I wish it would come down some I would trade mine in.

 

Try reading through the thread below. I took part in the discussion, so I remembered the link.

I know it's hard to compare prices in Texas vs. prices in Michigan and stuff, but this should give you some info either way. Just more ammo for you to negotiate with when you do pull the trigger.
