I am thinking of picking up a couple extra dashes and then cutting out the cigarette lighters and blending them in where the ashtray is so I can have 3 12v outlets. One day...

 

Thats smart! I gotta extra dash and its rusted out... i might just have to make a second outlet

 

Got one of the fenders primed today. Im an amateur at body work and spraying so I got a run on the fender. Just have to sand it out and spray it again. Gettin better as I go though. Startin to look like somethin now haha

Now to bondo and glaze the pitted area around the lip of the wheel well area. It is pitted some. Getting closer everyday.
I guess little progess is better than no pregress at all. We ll see how it goes haha

Idea stealer! Well, kind of...

I've said before that was my plan (well - cutting up my spare dash & blending in a second cig lighter) but I'm not dumping the ash tray - that's my super secret Ipod docking station!

 

That's a good idea as well! Right now, my ashtray is really my change dish. I lined it with poptart box cardboard to dampen the jingle.

 

Sorry for not updating in a long time guys. I ve been workin on her slow and steady since the snow melted and it warmed up a bit. Got the new cab on the roller stand and the old rusted metal all cut out. Started welding in on cab corner replacement. Cleaned out the inner corner and sprayed it all with rust reformer. Then plug welded a tab to weld to along the top edge of the opening. Sprayed everything with weld thru primer and went to town!



Finishing up the welds on this side and starting the other side today during shop class at school. Have to hurry up and get them welded in before i graduate next month!! Or i could just go out and buy a welder haha
