Springs (two options)
I did the shackle flip on my76' F250 and now the front needs to go up 8" to level out. I found a good deal on some 6" lift springs 99-04 Super Duty. Should I pay the extra and get full 8" springs or do the 6" and longer shackles and slight drop brackets. Im leaning too the full 8" springs.

First I had to have my rear springs repaired as some of the leaves were snapped. I removed one leaf per side and replaced all the ones that were snapped. With the repairing they had to re-arch the packs to accommodate the new leafs. This didnt gain me any lift it just put them back to new.
I used chevy front hangers from a mid 90's 3500. They have six mounting holes making them quite long. I cut approximately the top three inches off of them leaving me with four mounting holes. I attached the hanger and shackle to the spring and just experimented trying too utilize an existing hole. I figured if I could use an existing hole it would give me a good starting point for both sides keeping things even. I used a hole already in the frame and used C-clamps too anchor the hanger to check shackle angle. once I found what I wanted I picked a reference point on the frame to measure too, to ensure both sides were the same. The result was 8" higher than it was before with beautiful shackle angles.
I sure wouls like too know if the 99-04 6" springs wile my eight inches though. Ill try and get some pics up for you of the flip, when its painted it will look like it was factory that way.

You're going to need to either make a drop bracket or preferably get a new front hanger for your rear susp. You can't just raise one end of the leaf pack. I think I've seen people using 80s Chevy hangers that drop much further than ours. See how the leafs sit at an angle with the front higher than the rear? This will put the wheel further forward in the wheel well and mess with your pinion angle.
