4R70W transmission fluid change question
I have a 2003 with the stated auto transmission. No drain plugs on pan or converter. The instruction posted on this site say drain from return line at transmission with hose to a bucket. Can it also be drained at the return line located near the cooler with the rubber hose? This appears alot easier to access from this point? With draining from the cooler lines I assume this only changes the pan fluid and not the TC? If o I assume then it change the TC its refill 5 quarts. drain again then refill to at least refresh most of the fluid? Any help please? Thanks!

The normal flow is from the converter to the radiator cooler and back to the transmission.
The system is closed and meant to be changed by full flush/return method.
Using the feed or return line to drain never gets all the fluid changed. You still have fluid in the pan below the pickup.
With no TC drain, either way never gets it all except by the flush method.
Good luck.
