After reading this thread, I just pulled mine and cleaned it. Really wasn't that bad, but the fitting where the sensor screws into was the worse part. I'll have to see down the road if it helps mileage at all, but it doesn't seem to run any different

I replaced the exhaust back pressure sensor with another pressure sensor I had sitting around.
I also fixed another thing I saw ... um, not right.

It's not really a big notice thing from what I understand. The biggest deal with what happened with mine is that I took a drill, and a drill bit and drilled it out.

I guess this means you're no longer as smooth as Kieth Stone?

I definitely did not take a drill to the sensor, but it did seem to smooth out the idle a bit

I'm putting pieces and parts together on my memory for this info I've been posting.

But I know for a fact MadVan Bill has said it changes fueling.
And... Well, I refuse to ever argue with him on anything. He's always right.

I wonder where he went anyways...

I cannot find any of the threads with the cracked tube causing running and idle issues either.
I only can find EBPV threads.

That about sums it up. If you can't laugh at yourself (and let your buddies on FTE do so too) who can you laugh at?
