1977 f119 inline 6 running rough

Hi all, This is my first posting. I have a 1977 F100, inline 6. She was running fine until recently. But now she runs real rough, and there is a lot of smoke coming out the tail pipe. It's darker in color, so I don't think it's water vapor. Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem? Do I have a blown head gasket? How can I test? Thanks much for any advice.

Sorry, I meant to put F100 in the title.

Tough to know without more details. BUT...I would say that if the smoke is dark...indicating raw fuel...and not water vapor...I would look at the carburetor. Check for a stuck float needle...or sunk float. You may also have the choke stuck on...or a mouse has built a big nest in your air cleaner.

Going to have to figure out why it is getting too much fuel if the smoke is black.
