Fuel line retro fit

Fuel line retro fit
I have a 93 Bronco that has a frame mounted fuel filter that takes specialty tools to remove. The tool is the same type that is used to remove the fuel lines from the gas tank. My old 89 Bronco used disconnects that utilized a plastic clip that could be removed with a screwdriver.
My question is, can I retro fit my 93 Bronco with 89 Bronco fuel lines (and the filter worm style clamp) with minimum difficulty?
Thanks for any and all help.

In a word, NO. There is too mug pressure in the system in a 93 from the tank all the way to the rail. The 89 didn't have the full fuel pressure until fuel moved through the frame-mounted high pressure fuel pump. The 93 has the full 40 psi coming from the pump in the tank. The fittings that are on the 93 are necessary with that kind of pressure. If you try to use anything else you will burst connection point and have raw fuel pumping all over the road and undercarriage. There is a good reason it's so difficult to open the fittings. Spray them with penetrating oil an hour before you try removing them.

BTW you should have the plastic clips. You pry them out with a screwdriver, slide off the line, reinsert the clips(or new ones), then they just snap on. Unless you have the metal ones. Those seem to give me more trouble. More common on the chevys.
