Donor 3.8 for f-100

I have a mid nineties cougar 3.8 & auto trans that I'm putting in my56 f-100 so I can make it a daily driver also thinking of going with the aftermarket dist. And carb intake to eliminate the computer, are there any special Electrical considerations I need to keep in mind for the transmission ?

I can't say for certain exactly what you might run into. I don't know how integrated the trans and ECU and any other gadgetry were in mid 90's cougar.

I do expect there will be some issues to deal with relative to the ECU and shift point based on rpm and throttle position, engine vacuum , etc.

Not sure if you know it or not, but Ford did put the 3.8 in the F100 pickup in 82 and 83.
There might be something to learn form doing a little research in that area.
Wish I had more details but alas, such is not the case.
