Torque App Ford Extended PIDs
#16
Hey Jester - I changed the math on the EOT from the A-40 that was downloaded to the math you post here, but my temps are impossibly high, about 2x (see below) what it should be.
I tried simply adding )/2 (with a leading parenthesis) to correct it, but that just tweaked it lower than it should be, was less than half.
Should I change it to be (A*128) instead of (A*256) ? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am not yet wholly familiar with OBDII

since that motor is really new to the world it will have its own set of PIDs that torque doesnt have. Somehow you need to find the whole PID code from a dealership. then we can go from there. There is a such thing as pid scan on the torque app it scans for every digit in "hex" to see if it gets a response you can do that. then send it to me I can help you create the exhaust gas temp gauge....

Check the link in my thread below for the one I'm using (and yes, it's bluetooth):

Mine seems to be sensitive to how the connection needs to take place, otherwise, I get nothing. But as long as I follow the steps in that other thread, it works the majority of the time.
I wasn't willing to drop $100+ on a BT adapter when I can hold out for the 2011 updates and get AutoEnginuity for double that (and get a much more involved product). I wanted an inexpensive solution for the time being.

I haven't opened up the app with the module in my truck in a couple of months. I'll have to take a look and see what he's added (I know there's been quite a few updates).
I was able to pull a bunch of codes for my wifes Saturn Outlook when the transmission grenaded a couple weeks back though, was happy to see it working there (and also happy it was repaired free of charge with the powertrain warranty).
