Thanks for the info Silver Bullet, I can live with them rubbing on the springs and not the wheel wells. I'll go 13.5 and not have to worry about spitting my plastic inner fender wells all over the road. Maybe one day I'll trade in my kidney belt and get a new truck..haha. That new rig of yours looks real nice!
I had a 16.5 rim and the tire selection was so limited that I went up to a 17". I hated that lift (pro comp) but it was never in my budget to soften up the ride. Ultimately I sold it because I couldn't get all my kids (4) in the truck. Car seats and extended cabs suck. lol.
Thankfully my wife's explorer had the baby seats and lollipop sticks and all the other crap in it! But I'll tell ya what....next time and if their's a next truck with one income and the kids sucking me dry It'll be a crew cab. If this truck doesn't bounce me into kidney dialysis..Haha
That depends on what fails and how friendly your dealership is with aftermarket parts. Obviously, if you lift it and run larger tires, there is increased strain on the drivetrain. Some dealerships don't worry about it, since they don't want to turn away warranty work, others follow the rules more strictly.
Hah Thanks man! Its a 5.5 lift with im pretty sure 31 inch tires
Just based off your pic, I would have to agree with cartmanea that those are at least 35" Tires, either that or you don't have a 5.5" lift, just looking at how much the tire fills the wheel well.
Was doing some searching and found this thread. I know it is a little old, but ppl always like to see pics of lifted SD's.
06 SD 4.5" Donohoe Racing (Icon) with 35" BFG muds on Diamo 17K
08 SD 4.5" CST with 35" Toyo Mud Countrys on Fuel Octanes
Don't have any pics of it blacked out yet
