Help on 6 Volt to 12 Volt conversion
Hi all! I am thinking of converting my 1950 Ford f6 from the original 6 volt system over to a more modern 12 volt system. The whole reason I am even considering this is because 6 volt system parts are getting a little harder to find. I only have a few questions for you all. First before I even get going with this project is there any body that makes the whole 6 volt marker light assembly, along with any other 6 volt parts? If I do this conversion I would like to keep it as close to original as possible, so is there any such thing as a 12 volt generator? And finally, what would I need to do to protect the old 6 volt gauges, heater motor, windshield wiper motor from getting fried by the 12 volt system? Thank you all in advance for your help and have a great day!!
