Got my title today

Got the title for my panel in the mail today. Wasn't too bad, Had a signed Nebraska title from 1984. Got myself a bill of sale and had to have it weighed and it went right through. I feel alot better about getting back to work on it cause it's definitely mine now.

That sucker shoulda been mine you know. Just because I slept through the bid closing shouldn't matter. We oughta call the PO-lease 'cause you stole that truck. $355 for gosh sakes!!

OK, I feel better. Glad you're legal now. Stu

You snooze you lose If it makes you feel any better it was quite abit rougher than it looked in the photos, but I'm still really stoked to have it.

What kind of shape are the rear doors in? If they're perfect please lie to me and say they're junk. That way I'll feel better. Stu

The drivers side is decent, passenger side has the lower hinge completely torn out. Most of the hardware was gone from them too. I found all the hardware for it and the hinge is fixable but it'll be a chore. The truck was still a bargain at $355 I think, and luckily I'm a glutton for punishment.

Seriously, you're saying the passenger side REAR door has the lower hinge torn out? Mine has the upper hinge torn out on that side, so you've done a wonderful job making me feel better. Thanks. Stu

Congratulations! There's nothing quite like that feeling of accomplishment (or relief), getting that little piece of paper in the mail adorned with official scrollwork, the seal of approval, and your name on it.

The right rear door on my 51 was rotted out in the upper hinge as well. The left rear door had rust along the bottom. I ended up buying another Panel truck just for the right rear door and then picked up a left rear door from a guy in SoCal for $75. It's a little beat up, but solid.

I don't think that the lien will be an issue 46 years later.
