Unhappy Corrosion on Surfaces

I have noticed a good amount of rust forming on the surfaces of the bottom of the engine, drive shaft, rear differential, and other sufaces. It appears to only be on the surface. I'm new to heavy duties, and am not sure how Ford protects their sufaces. Just wanted to make sure this is normal and nothing to be concerned about and that they didn't miss treating these surfaces in the factory.

Unfortunately, that's normal on Super Duties.

Spray some Fluid Film on those surfaces and your truck will be fine: Fluid Film® | Corrosion Preventative, Lubricant and Rust Inhibitor

A few threads on this. Some, it bothers a lot....others, not so much. I am in the latter clan. My '04 had that within moths and still has it. No worries.

I'm pretty sure mine was already like that when I picked it up.

When my truck arrived it had rust on the stuff you wrote about. I sprayed Fluid Film on everything and this is a picture after a winter.

Basically stopped the rust that had formed and prevented anymore...

Parts of the drive shaft and other places on my truck were already showing rust spots when I picked it up with 4 miles on it at 14 days old.
I didn't spray anything on mine.
Looks bad but it sounds like it will be fine through the years.
