I'm looking down in there with a flash light and I don't see a cooler. I just see a stainless steel pipe, about 3/4" dia., that runs from the back of the oil cooler, bends around in a "u" runs down the length where I'd expect to see a egr cooler and then up into the intake manifold.
Delete kit? The egr valve is in the manifold and plugged in. I guess it should be clean if delete kit installed?
with the truck together and running active command egr and moniter iat2. with egr flowing iat will climb if the egr system is in tact
I'll give that a try. It's hard to see the up pipe as it's hiden behind the 4" exhaust off the back of the turbo among other things. I tried to look from under the truck as well but heat shields are in the way.
Without any doubt, the cooler is definately gone which should mean the up (Y) pipe had to be replaced or at least plugged off.
I'm still learning what all the previous owner has done to this truck. Dealer told me that ARP studs were installed but that was all he knew. I can tell the engine has been pulled at least once. I just found out last month that I have a remote starter and alarm system but I don't have the remote.
look at the remote start module and see who made it. call the company and tell you need a remote. they will sell you one.
i bought a truck that had a ungo box alarm they sent me a new remote for it you will need serial numbers and model numbers i had to order from a ungo box dealer
if the egr cooler is gone they had to replace the up pipe sounds like a sinister egr deleate
i also found on that truck had a lug that needed a key on each tire I pressed a foam cup into it got the pattern and they sent me a lug key
might want to check your lugs before you get stranded

I found a local mechanic here that had a couple keys that fit. He just gave me both of them no charge.
