I just re-did my exhaust pipes like that. I like the dual side exit behind the passenger tire. It looks much better than a pair of tail pipes hanging under the bumper or at 45s.

I had them straight out the back before, and from the side you just see the pipes floating there. Thats what I wast talking about. It looks alot better now.

I agree i've never been a fan of straighyt exit out the.back. . .i never liked how it looks on trucks on top of the increased weight and crunch factor.

are you askin me? i have a single but i dont have much of a pipe. i literally have a 12" bullet muffler welded to my y-pipe collector, no cat. it terminates about a 1-1/2' past my tranny crossmember. i welded a bolt to the end so it could hook to the factory mount inside the passenger side C channel'd frame.

Here are the pictures. My truck has stock manifolds. I went with a larger Magnaflow muffler. I have one cat and 3 inch single exhaust back to the muffler with 2.25 inch tail pipes and 3x12 inch stainless tips. The sound is a bit on the mild side, but I like that there is no interior drone. I would like it to be a little louder at times, but its som much better then the annoying Flowmaster I had before.

What exactly do you have now? I don't see how no cat and no muffler is not loud.

I still don't see how you only faintly hear that in the cab with a tail pipe if all you have is the stock front cat. Try a angle cut 3 or 3.5 inch tip that is at least 12, but more like 16,18 inches long. That should make it a bit louder.

My friend had his just like you said yours was with a glasspack and the front cat and I thought it sounded nearly perfect, but he did have a 3.5 inch tip that was 16-18 inches long.

When you say looses it all, I think your just noticing the interior noise. Outside, I think is a different story. Have a friend drive by while you stand on the side of the road and listen to it.
