ive got a 51 f5 flat head v8 truck and im wanting to put it on a regular frame whats the best frame to use and the best way to do this

What's wrong with your frame now? Putting it on a newer truck frame will require major modifications and fabrication.

i dont want a 1 ton truck to drive on the road i would rather have a f1 series so i thought id just make one

You'd be a lot better off just looking for an F1 or F2
BTW, the F5 is a 1 1/2 ton

Using a F-1 frame is the way to go....all of the body parts and engine should bolt up. Using a newer frame SOUNDS like a good idea, but will end up in misery.......
