What size gears?
I have a 2000 F250 that I want to change the gears on. It currently has the stock 3.73 LS. I currently have 285/17/16 tires on it, but at the next change will move up to 295/75/16. Do you guys think 4.10 gears would give me a good return, or should I go to 4.56? I am mainly just looking for increased power, as it feels somewhat like a dog right now (downshifting uphill when empty, etc.). I don't do any towing, so I don't need to worry about the heavy loads. Thanks in advance!

3.73 to 4.10 is only 10% increase in rpm - not much. I would say 4.30 as minimum, and I'd lean towards p-nuts recommendation if you want a really noticeable boost. 4.56.
Note: That will make O/D engine speed close to what you have in 3rd now. Drive around a while with O/D shut off and make sure the extra cruise rpm doesn't annoy you.

4:56 or dont bother with the expense..
the jump to 4:30 would be noticable, but certainly not really give you any REAL sence of gained power..
if your gunna justify the expense AND want a notciable increase of real power to the ground then jump to 4:56 (or even 4:88 if the idea of larger tires down the road is a possibility)...
least thats my take on it.

I went from a 2v V-10 with 3.73's and stock tires to a 3v V-10 with 4.30's and 35's and the difference in power is still quite noticeable even with the bigger tires. If you don't tow alot or live in a very hilly/mountainous area, 4.30 is plenty. Don't kill your gas mileage and smooth ride going overkill.
