Yes, and thank you for that.
I'll start building the dual battery stuff as soon as I get all these little problems resolved.

I have a question for you guys that understand wires.
Here is a pic of the relay.
Is there a better/more weatherproof way to do these connectors or is it a worry at all?
I'd really like to make this as clean as possible. I'm thinking 5 pin connector.

Marc as far as "Is there a better/more weatherproof way to do these connectors or is it a worry at all?" My answer would yes and no. I think you can run that way for short time a year or so without issue but long term I would use a marine rated or waterproof relay. After seeing the photo and made in China I am sure that is not waterproof. Also your connections I would get a relay plug for relay use some dielectric grease and use shrink wrap butt connectors. Mind you I try to all my stuff this way only because I work on boats for living and the marine environment is alot harsher than automotive.

'Not a fan of relays with loose terminals like that. Instead use a relay socket to keep things tidy and in order.: Delcity PN 73999 at $2.50 each.... 5 Pin Molded Relay Socket

In terms of remote and power, take a look at Delcity PN 73897... about $12...: ATC and ATO 6 Ganged Fuse Block .. or this version which is expandable: http://www.delcity.net/store/6!way-A...Panel/p_793543

To seal up a non-water resistant relay, there is always RTV... judiciously applied of course....

Thanks for that Mr. Kuzz
I thought the "made in China" would get some comment.
I don't like it either.

That sounds like what I was thinking.
Do they make these waterproof?
Are they sold separately or in a pair with a plug.
Got a link?

The negative about using pre-made relay sockets is that it'll require splicing them in and all the color coding will be the same for different circuits - at least where it is visible. Plus it introduces another connection that can go bad.

The link I posted above are for only the terminals and socket... snip those dimestore connectors yer using and keep all the wiring. Crimp on the new terminals and lock them into the socket... just like a real wiring harness.

Sorry HIO, not getting how that deal works.
5 pins and a plug is an easy concept for my pea brain to understand.

The Ebay ones linked above are pre-made with pigtails... yer stuck with whatever color wire they used for each terminal and requires splicing them in.

Conversely, if it's just pins and the socket then you get to use your existing wiring and dictate which color goes to which terminal. One color all the way through.

Oh
So you're just building your own plug.
I didn't get that from your link.
I'm a little slow
Edit
I just went back and looked again.
I never saw that link. A little slow indeed.
