Cool truck man, the new wheels/tires look killer. You wouldn't have another set of those mirrors kicking around would ya??

Ha
I have to say, those mirrors are a big part of the truck.
I'm gonna have to lock them on some how.
My dad had those on his camper special and I've loved 'em ever since.
Be nice to find a stash of them.

Got a quick job done this morning before work.
Turn indicator switch had broken cancel arms so wacked in a new one.
Ok you can't "wack" one in as you have to rerun the harness down the steering column, but, all good.
The upper bearing was a bit gacked up and rough but it cleaned up and was silky smooth. Packed a little white grease in and replaced.
The rig is really starting to purr.

Man, you kill me! First off, great job on the F-100! If you can do this BEFORE work, I want your hours! Second, I will hopefully get my F-100 out here to WA from SD and start the process of the rebirth. Thanks for the updates!

More small stuff today.
Did some carb work. Just a little tuning, haven't had time for that. I am still blown away that this thing was sitting for years not running and now...... it runs like a top.
Also replaced the old rusty hardware on my western mirrors with new stainless stuff. The passenger side was a little bent. So that got straightened too. Rust stains are being stubborn but I'll get 'em eventually.
Little bit every day.

Those mirrors look great. It is always good when you do something that you can actually tell that you did something when you're finished. Hidden work just isn't quite as much fun.

Hey Turbo. I came upon a pretty good method of passive rust removal using electrolysis. I've been de-rusting an auxiliary battery tray in a 32-gallon tub and it's coming along well. The best part is that it only converts the rust and doesn't affect good metal. The process also removes paint... perfect for valve covers. Give the article below a read....

I am familiar with the process though I have not attempted it yet.
A bunch of these little pieces could be the ticket.

Got my front bumper back from the chromer.
Holy shnoot. The sun's so bright I gots ta wear shades.
I asked him to straighten it and lay down some extra copper and make it live. He did. It looks like it's towing the truck around now because it's so nice.
Woohoo
