F800 Front Brake Shoes

Hi..

Hoping someone may be able to help me. I'm searching for a supplier of F800 front brake shoes. We are based in the UK and after having two incorrect sets sent over by Nappa we need a reliable source who knows what the F''/'.l[ they are doing...

My question is would any of you guys know where I can get these? Apparantly the shoes have been discontinued by FORD. The shoes are 15" x4". The year of the vehicle is 1991 and the VIN is 1FDXK84A3MVA20516. I'm getting quite desperate for these now as this is a tow rig for our race transporter and we have a big weekend coming up!

any help would be much appreciated..

Best Regards

Nathan

Welcome to FTE

The only front brake "Application Charts" in the 1991/97 Ford Heavy Truck Parts Catalog are for CF600/800's w/Rockwell Air Brakes. These trucks use 15" x 4" shoes, but I dunno if they are same for F800's.

Suggest you contact Green Sales Co. (greensalescompany.com) located in Cincinnati Ohio (513-731-3304) for assistance.

I attempted to look these parts up, but there's all sorts of 'bloody' info that must be known to find the 'bloody' correct parts for F800's.

Since I have no parts to compare, while Green prolly does....this is your best bet.

Do you know if the truck has eaton or meritor Q type brakes???? Both are cheap and easy to get and were used on so many makes and models you may even be able to find them in the UK.

here is some for reference this website had the best pictures

meritor http://www.anythingtruck.com/Merchan...ode=510-HD4702

eaton http://www.anythingtruck.com/Merchan...de=510-HD1308E

also you can scroll to the very bottom of the page and send them an email all they deal in is heavy truck parts or call them.

I think these are now actually a Rockwell Q series shoe.. I found a reference 3222-N-1834 reference on one of the shoes, Having looked at this document http://lelandbrake.com/images/catalog/295-331.pdf it seems to reference the Rockwell Q series shoe..

here is a pic of the shoe

does this make sense, for a Ford F800?

I think I may have found a source to reline these shoes in the UK now (I hope!) running out of time..No new ones though..they deal with aviation and mining equipment..

again thanks for your help...
