LOL! The plus side is the courthouse is only a few blocks away from me..also, I will be on call, so if I'm chosen, someone else will get stuck with on call.

Yeah, it's a pain..but a break from work aint all bad, I guess. We'll see!

I got called for jury duty, then the day before I was released!

 

Good Morning Steve! I have only been called for jury duty twice in my life..the first happened just like yours, the second is what I am doing now..it shows you how bad it must be at work to look forward to jury duty. LOL!

 

I was never called when I was active Fire and Rescue, that made us exempt, as soon as I retired and went inactive I got called, the first time went for the day and wasn't selected, last time was released the day before.

 

Good morning WY! I usually get called up once every six months. Never goes to trial though.

 

I guess living in a highly populated area has it benefits!

 

I live where there are more cows than people, (and there arn't that many cows!) Maybe they'll need us to get the dust off the seats before we can hold court! LOL!

 

Chances are you will have to bring your own seat......

 

they must call over 300 people a week here for county court.

 

I always like to be ready for anything, I'll bring along a toilet seat, just in case!

 

and they still pay $5 a day since like 1950....

 

As I understand it, here they pay $50 bucks a day..where I work they will pay me my wages, but I give them the court $$$.
