You know how that story goes..."Oh, you got your truck back? Can I borrow it? If not, can you help me move a "few things" before you head back to work." You can't exactly tell your own mother no, and when your wife is in on the horse trade of things between three different folks...you don't have a chance from the get go.

Morning gentlemen, you too Joe Looks like another exciting day of sitting on a locomotive without a/c or a fan while another railroad sticks it to us. How in the world did I get soo dang lucky? Are you taking some vacation time or are these regular days off? If it's the later...here I thought I had a strange work pattern.

Been a while since I got on here. Everyone ok from the storms last night? We got a ton of lightning & good chunk of rain at the shop last night. South of the river it must not have been bad at all since my wife & son slept through it all.
As far as news around here..... I got moved to 3rd shift with my new job. Its going good & love the drama there. Everyone hates everyone else but is buddy buddy with each other in person. I finally moved my '90 F150 to the barn & now it looks like I have a small truck lot back there. Got a GOOD quote on anodizing one of my paintball guns ($200-$250 for 30 pieces with a clear to red to clear fade with a red to clear to red faded splash over the base fade). I cant remember if I posted about finding a '79 F350 4x4 or not but I did find one.
Congrats! I have those motor perches out in the barn if you want them.

The F350, regular cab, roof lights, top & bottom race track trim, auto, np205, c6, 351m/400, front sway bar, dually axle in the rear, flat bed, what looks to be a dana 60 front but didnt look at the kingpin/ball joint to make sure. The cover/pumpkin looks bigger than the D44 out back in my F250.
My phone died AS I was taking a picture of the data plate so I had to use my friends & he still hasnt emailed them to me. I hope like hell I can get it.
The only real problem is use it as a base for the 4x4 I want to build or use a deuce & half frame, suspension & axles as a base.

They are in the barn with the entire front suspension out from under my Bronco that I sold. I only wanted the radius arms but ended up taking it ALL off to get them & the motor perches.

That 350 sounds pretty sweet. I'm sure it will make a good platform for you. At least with that you can drive it on the road if needed unliks using a duce set-up.

The Axle went with the Bronco. We set the frame back down on the axle.
A deuce can be driven on the road. Its not the easiest thing to drive since it doesnt have power steering. I drove between 20 & 30 miles in one yesterday & was fine other than it pulling to one side. With out pulling out a calculator & punching it, regearing the axles to 4.9:1 & running 11R22.5s @ 65-70mph will put me around 1900rpm with a .73:1od.

Well, just back from vacation and finally got caught up on all the forums etc that I read.
One of the things we did was take the tourist train from Springdale to VanBuren and back. Pretty cool ride, and the used book store in VanBuren is the bomb(if you can get past the cat smell).
