I was curious as to why Ford opted to delete the (key) on/off
switch for the passenger side airbag??

My father has a supercab '01 F150....his has the key switch....

I have 2 kids, in a car seat and a booster. I stow alot of
equipment in the rear compartment, which was a
major reason in buying this truck. (secure storage)
It would be nice to have my daughter
(who I take to school every day) to be able to sit up front
with me...without having to worry about an airbag.

I believe it's because with the scab there is not enough room in the back for all sizes of kiddy seats. The super cab has a full backseat. Toyota also does this with the their trucks.
