So I guess out here it is basically just a vanity plate. I believe in CO, you pay a one time fee and you are no longer required to do emissions and registration on the vehicle is less often. Just another way CT is trying to get as much money out of my pocket as possible.

Emissions are a no go for commercial plates, but I do have to do my reg every year.
Pete I thought that if you were over 10k you did not have to do emissions ?

And to address the other concern yes an idiot light is an auto fail but only hard codes set those off. You can have codes stored with no lights set off. Those are soft codes. I have lots of those from all the things I've pulled off or unplugged.
