96 f250 5.8 oil sensor removal

Hey there people who are smater than I. First of all I am no mechanic but I try as I hate to pay people to do things that (with a little help) I can do myself. O.K. Here is my problem My oil gauge doesnt move and after talking to some people the consensus is that it is my oil pressure sensor which I have located but cant seem to get ANY tool in there to remove it. The people at AZ (not AA) said i shouldnt need a special tool but I cant get a socket or wrench on it. ANY help will be appreciated.

There is a special deep socket to get them off , but if there like the 5.0 you can get it out with a pair of plyers , you may need to remove the oil filter.....Lew

Thanx for the reply Lew. Went to 2 different "auto"stores and neither carries the correct socket. Figures. rented some offset sockets as the deep sockets are to long to seat (as well as being to thick on one side as the space between the sensor and block is minimal). Will probably have to remove belts to get a wrench in there possibly. Again thanks for the reply. I appreciate it!....Bruce
