Tailshaft is probably too long to accomadate the short shaft to the transfer.

The "Toploader" is the main car racing transmission known for it's strength and durability despite it's size.

True the NP435, T18/19 are "toploaders", but they are not THE Toploader.

I done it in a 2 wheel drive F-100. Moved the trans mount to a different hole in the frame and got a different drive shaft. Overall pretty easy job.

Exactly. The common term "toploader transmission" is a side shifter with linkage, where the NP435 etc are top, direct shifted. All the internals are loaded thru the top cover.

Throwing the Toploader in a 2wd is cakewalk compared to adapting it to a transfer case.

David Kee sells the adapters.

Next time I'll turn on my mind reading powers as your original post did not portray what you are now trying to say.

Hey man, what is your problem? You have this thing about wanting to correct or question anything i post in the threads you post in. I don't see any reason to put everything in detail for somebody. If they can't figure some of it out on their own ,then maybe they should not be trying it. You do it your way and i will do it my way.I will give them ideas but i am not going to do it for them unless they bring it to my shop so i can get paid for it. If you want to list everything out for them in a numbered order,go ahead, that's not my way of doing it. You have been the only person that has questioned my ideas on here,if you don't like or agree with them ,then just keep it to your self . I agree with most of what you put on here ,but the things i don't agree with,i keep it to myself. Your last comment was very immature and uncalled for. I will not be explaining myself to you anymore . I'm only doing it this time to show you i am willing to let the past go,but if you can't then i will ignore you from now on. I have tried to get along with you ,so what is your problem ? Anymore discussions need to be someplace other than the post forum and i do not plan to explain why i put this one here. I think you can figure that out with out any mind reading powers.
