2001 F-150 4.6 Auto A/C issues
I am replacing my A/C compressor and have already purchased the accumulator/drier along with a used compressor. I have a couple of questions though. I have already looked through the forum but haven't found these specific questions.
1. I know I have to replace the orifice tube, but I don't know which one to buy. Autozone sells different ones that are different colors, they all vary dramatically in price so which one "color" should I buy? The blue one is only like two bucks but the other ones are thirty or more.
2. Can I use any old PAG45 oil for the compressor, etc. Or do I need to go to ford and buy the specific mororcraft oil?
3. Besides the orifice tube, accumulator/drier, compressor, oil, and refrigerant, is there anything that I need to be aware of or buy? I have the Haynes manual so I can see what I'm doing as far as the removal/installation.
Thanks in advance for the replies!

First thing you have to get settled is drawing a vacuum on the system and for leak detection before you try to fill the system after the replacements have been done.
Once leak free and a high vacuum is in place, you fill into the vacuum to the prescribed pressure and conditions.
Good luck.
