Angry 1999 F-350 revs, won't drive - tranny

1999 F-350 crewcab 4x4 dually. Started truck, put into gear, engine revs, no motion. Tried to put back into "park" and heard grinding, whirring noise. Put into 4-wheel drive, locked hubs, put into "drive", engine revved, no forward motion. Tried 1st, 2nd, reverse, but no motion, drive shafts not turning. Tranny fluid up to normal levels, normal color. Will go into "park" when engine is off. ???

Well there's no good news there. Could be the pump (no engagement of any gear, even 2nd)

You'll get plenty of advice... mine is if you're going to keep the truck, get a BTS transmission, not the only tranny out there, but the one I got and can attest to. NO comparison to the stock tranny and you will not understand that statement unless you get one.

It's not the pump. It's not even anything in the transmission. It's the transfer case.
