Forgot how low that garage was!

Backing in, heard a crunch and then felt my wallet get a little lighter. Ford quoted it at $1290. I turned into insurance.

Ouch !! That's a bummer. Oh well, I've learned a few expensive lessons over the years too. It will be like new when it's fixed and you won't try that again.

That sucks, but we've all had similar experiences.

Man that stinks! Doesn't take much to get bodywork into the 1k+ range huh? Thanks for sharing I almost took off my pass side mirror in the carwash 2 weeks ago, too close to that side so I wound down my window quick and folded it in. Well I got a little overzealous when the rinse went towards the back of the truck I figured I'd wind down the window quick and push it back into position. Forgot it was coming ALL the way back forward until I watched it crunch my mirror and hyperextend it towards the front of the truck. Luckily it didn't break my glass, and the mirror still stays in position. Whew! So yeah we all do dumb crap

that sucks. One of the reasons I keep putting off lifting my truck. I know either me or the missus would forget at some point and end up like you did...

ouch!!! sorry to hear/read/see that. and actually I'm not at all surprised by the cost of that repair (considering that my little dent along the side came in at an estimated $2700+, as has been noted bodywork on these trucks is pricey).
