Thanks everyone for the news about the air filter, but now since I heard that NGK would be a waste of money, what do you guys suggest are the best spark plugs to build up a racing truck? I want ones that would be good for horse power.
Like I said, If you run a Hyfire Box.... NGK's work very well and you have a wider variety of heat ranges to chose from. I wouldn't say that they are junk, its all in your set-up/ combo of parts used!

Sure but they will not improve anything which makes them a waste of money.

Not true and here is why. I love Autolites but then I decided to play around with different brands of plugs (AC, Champions and so on). I found that the NGK's would last 3x as long when compared to Autolites! They may not improve your performance but spark plug life! Worth the extra $ to do it. JMHO

Yep, last 3X as long and cost 5X as much. That is poor business where I com from. I've probably installed in the neighborhood of 10,000 NGK plug and dollar for dollar I will stay with the Champions (with which I set 3 speed records and won 2 National Championships and was not sponsored by them either).

They dont cost 5x as much. You may not like them and thats fine. Try a $1.58 for NGK plugs and $1.49 for Autolites. WOW $.09 more a plug!
I've put thousands of NGK plug in Ford and Chebby engines and never one had them last longer than the AC's, Champion's or Motorcraft/Autolite.
I don't disagree with ya for the most part BUT with a Hyfire Box on an FE... NGK's are hard to beat. Otherwise, if your not running a Hot ignition (Hyfire Box on an FE)... The others work better then the NGK's do. JMHO
Also the added bonus is, they have a wider heat range of plugs to play with and the other brands for 18mm dont! Unless you run aftermarket heads with 14mm is a different story all together.... JMHO

Even in my race 428CJ I never had to run anything colder than a Champion F9Y. So that is not a plus for a street machine.

I tried the NGK's AP9FS on my 11to1 Solid Roller 428 as a daily driver... A little too cold, so I jumped up to the AP8FS and it was much happier with that! LOL
