I think 900-1100 might be OK. $2K seems a bit high. I was looking at an F150 rwd with 302 and c6 a few weeks ago and the guy wanted 800 $CAD for it.

$2000 around this part of the country isn't bad for an unmolested, not completely beat to hell truck. Most of em around here have been flogged pretty bad or torn up by some kid at some point. They get used..........

I can find trucks all day if yall just want them. I know where 3 supercabs, 1 crew, and countless regular cabs are. A quick CL scan and I came up with this one:

1977 Ford F150 4 wheel drive

2K for a short bed that runs and is not full of rust is a steal in this part of the country. Most of the ones around here that are in good shape are going for over 4K. 4X4 shortys are alot cheaper here than the 2wd.

Yeah that's what I thought. The 4x4s are always worth more than 2wd.

I looked for over a year for my 4x4 shorty. It was a one owner, good running, not bad looking truck. It did however need floor pans, cab corners and a new box due to rust. The rest of the sheet metal is in good shape and the paint and interior were nice. I paid $3000, have put another $3000 getting the rust repaired and probably another $600 on stuff that just needed replaced. It had 190,000 miles on it, the engine had been rebuilt about 10,000 miles before I got it. I felt I got a good deal on it, because like I said before, trucks around here get used hard and the majority of the 4x4's have either been rode hard or torn up by a kid.................especially the shorties............
