Recon Mirror Lights - Ugh?!?

Got my smoked recon mirror lights for my 2008 F250 Lariat. The telescoping mirrors are heated. I was able to remove the OEM lens assembly but the connections that I need to access are way up in the mirror. I have read mixed posts that the top mirror cap can and can't be removed. I located the clips for the top part of the cap but it looks like screws are holding the rest of it to the mirror housing. Any help or photos would be apprectiated.

Disregard. I finally figured out that the cheeseheads at recon sent instructions for a 2007 mirror and not the 2008-2010. Once I figured it out the install was 10 minutes.
