Rough running engine at idle

I have a 88 f250 and i replaced the dist. cap, rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and the throttle position sensor and now when i put it in drive and let it idle while holding the brake it seems the engine has created a miss some how. Any idea?

What type of throttle position sensor is it- adjustable or non-adjusting? See this page for the difference- Ford Fuel Injection » Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

If it's adjustable, you may have not installed it correctly. Even if it's non-adjustable, it could be installed wrong. You need to make sure there is spring tension on the sensor when installing.

What engine do you have? Check your spark plug wiring for correct firing order and make sure they are routed correctly. Cross-firing is a very common problem on these vehicles.

I thought of that too, and I could swear there is a diagram somewhere that shows us how our plug wires are supposed to be routed to avoid cross fire but I couldn't find it.

Yep, that's the one I was thinking about. Or at least something similar.
