tire pressure sensors

I'm new to the site, getting ready to buy an 07 EL Limited. Wanting to change the wheels to the Ford 9 spoke 22 inch. Was wandering if i could use the valve stem sensors like the 09 have,or do i have to use the strap type sensors? Thanks,Chris.

As far as I understand you will need to use the same type of sensor that the vehicle came with.
BTW; Welcome to FTE!

My '07 sensors are strap on. Can you get new straps?

Chris42 - do a search on my user name. I did some pretty extensive reasearch on this topic when I switched the ugly chrome clad wheels to the 2010 F-150 20" polished aluminum wheels and did a couple of write ups on what I learned and what I did.
