If that could work, could that not be considered real "Ram Air???"
It wouldn't work. The fans would be a restriction. They wouldn't push enough air.

The way I understand it...the kinetic energy of air created by a vehicle moving at highway speeds is not even close to being enough to increase the static pressure. That requires a turbo, supercharger or some such device.

You know, now that I actually think about it, it'd be like a ghetto little turbo or supercharger. It wouldn't work...
Back to the drawing board!

Well, I didnt know about this, so I guess I learned something new!

And I will eventually build it, Ive got other things to take care of first, but of course once I get all the parts and fabricate it, I will post pictures and a list of supplies. It will definitely look cool

The idea is to get colder air. As stated in an earlier reply...your motor will only take it as much as it needs. Turbos (exhaust driven) and Superchargers (belt driven) are a different story... little fans will do nothing, if anything, the vaccum of your motor will make them spin quicker tha it can on its own! hahaha. you want instant power? get urself a 50 shot dry nitrous system, that'll give you cold air alright without a ram air! colder air molecules burn better and faster!

Its against the law to drive around with a nitrous bottle connected, at least down here lol.

And I dont want to pay to refill the bottle every 2 days. Plus, its just an idea, I dont expect 40hp out of it

You just flick the switch when you want it, and flick it off when you don't! If it's against the law to drive around with a bottle.....then dun tell them you got it! Back in the day we used to take our spare tire out of the compartment and mount the bottle there, then cover it back up with the trunk matt. Then we would tap the line in under behind the intake pipe, then wrap the braided feed line with electrical tape and WHALLA!!! they would never suspect a thing!! hahaha. Miss those days....... Let us know how it works out for you bro. i would love to see the outcome. Cheers...

If the filters have to be small this idea won't work too well. Oh yeah, Spectre filters are not anything I would buy.

Water isn't a problem for the I6/460 tube, so I don't see it being an issue here.

I like the idea of getting air from the cowl. There is a diesel setup that does that. Someone on here has it, but I forget what the thread is called. I think its made by Hypermax or something like that.

Here it is. I think it would work rather well.
