4x4 issue!

its a 1991 ford f250 4x4, and i noticed that when i put it in 4x4 it didnt feel like 4x4 so, i jacked up the rear end, locked the hubs and tryed 4hi and 4lo, all that happins is the front diff spins and the tires wont! whats my problem?

If you are saying that in 4hi and 4low the transfer case does spin the shaft going to the front diff... and the front diff doesn't spin the wheels then you have 1 of 2 problems...

Bad hubs or problem in your front diff...

Like zxwut said... open up your front hubs for inspection.

double check that your hubs are actually in the locked position , all it takes is for one to be unlocked and it wont work ! i have done that myself on more than one occasion !

the hubs are bolth locked in and it still dosent work !!

Lift the front and spin each tire back and forth with the hubs locked and see if the axle spins with it. This will tell you which hub is bad.
